David X. Sullivan, the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that Daqwon Graham, also known as “Seagull” and “Energy,” aged 31 from Ansonia, has pleaded guilty to a fentanyl trafficking charge. The plea was entered before U.S. District Judge Vernon D. Oliver in Hartford.

Court documents and statements indicate that Graham was identified by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and Stamford Police Department as a significant fentanyl distributor in Fairfield County. Investigations linked Graham’s activities to two overdose deaths: one male victim in Branford in March 2023 and one female victim in Shelton in October 2024. In early 2025, multiple controlled purchases of fentanyl were made from Graham.

Graham was arrested on February 26, 2025, on High Ridge Road in Stamford while possessing over 400 grams of fentanyl. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute this amount, an offense carrying a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years imprisonment and up to life imprisonment. Sentencing is set for October 16.

Since his arrest, Graham has been detained. The investigation was conducted by the DEA’s Bridgeport HIDTA Task Force which includes personnel from various police departments including Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk, Stamford, Stratford Police Departments along with the Connecticut State Police. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lauren C. Clark is prosecuting the case.
