Mickyeem Profit, a 22-year-old resident of Bridgeport, was sentenced on March 11 to 102 months in prison and three years of supervised release for his involvement in several armed robberies of retail stores and an Amazon delivery truck in December 2022, according to United States Attorney David X. Sullivan.
The sentencing highlights the consequences faced by individuals who commit violent crimes involving firearms against businesses and their employees.
Court documents show that Profit, along with others, carried out gunpoint robberies at Omega Deli in Bridgeport on December 15, Milford Convenience & Tobacco in Milford on December 21, an Amazon delivery truck in Bridgeport on December 23, and Smoke Shop in Bridgeport also on December 23. Additionally, associates of Profit robbed Cumberland Farms in Stratford at gunpoint on January 2, 2023.
During these incidents, Profit and his accomplices entered the businesses armed with guns, threatened workers, forced victims to the ground, and stole cash and property. At Milford Convenience & Tobacco, Profit stepped on a victim while holding a gun to her head. In the Amazon truck robbery, he and others forced the driver into the back of the vehicle at gunpoint where they assaulted him.
Profit has been detained since his arrest on January 2, 2023. He pleaded guilty on October 2, 2025 to one count of interference with commerce by robbery (Hobbs Act robbery) and one count of carrying, using, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation along with police departments from Bridgeport, Stratford, and Milford. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nathaniel J. Gentile is prosecuting the case.
