Connecticut Bar Association appoints Heather Holt as director of membership strategies

The Connecticut Bar Association announced on Apr. 8 the appointment of Heather Holt as its new Director of Membership Strategies. In this position, Holt will lead efforts to engage and retain members, focusing on the full range of member experiences.

This appointment is significant for the association, which serves more than 7,000 members statewide and works to promote the legal profession and uphold principles of justice as a nonprofit member service entity, according to the official website. The association provides educational programs, pro bono services, and advocacy through a nonprofit framework and has been operating since 1875 with its headquarters in Meriden.

Holt brings over two decades of experience working with not-for-profit organizations that are membership-based. She previously held senior leadership roles at a global not-for-profit media assurance provider where she established a Member Success division and developed continuing education programs aimed at improving engagement and participation among members. Her background includes a focus on data integrity, operational consistency, and building trusted relationships.

Holt earned her Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University and holds a certificate in Customer Experience Strategy from Columbia Business School Executive Education. “I am excited to join the CBA and look forward to getting to know our members and learning from their experiences. I believe the strength of membership is reflected in every interaction, and I am committed to understanding what matters most to our members and helping create a thoughtful, meaningful experience that provides lasting value,” she said.

The Connecticut Bar Association fosters community well-being through free legal advice and pro bono representation according to the official website.
