The Connecticut Bar Association announced on Apr. 15 that it has extended the deadline for nominations to serve in its House of Delegates for the 2026-2029 term. The new deadline for completed petitions is Thursday, April 30 by 5:00 PM.

The extension provides more time for members to volunteer and participate in the governance of the association. The CBA encourages members from districts with expiring seats—including districts 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 17—to consider nominating themselves or colleagues through an online process.

Members whose terms are ending must also submit a nomination if they wish to continue serving. For assistance or questions about running for a seat in the House of Delegates, members can contact CBA Executive Director Lina Lee at llee@ctbar.org.

The Connecticut Bar Association promotes the legal profession and upholds principles of justice as a nonprofit member service entity according to the official website. It fosters community well-being through free legal advice and pro bono representation according to the official website. The association also runs the CBA Law Center to support its programs according to the official website and partners with the Connecticut Bar Institute on educational and charitable efforts according to the official website.
