Members of the Connecticut Bar Association gathered on April 30 for a line dancing event designed to encourage networking and relaxation, according to a May 5 announcement. The event took place at the Ebony Horsewomen Inc. Equestrian and Therapeutic Center in Hartford and was open to legal professionals and law students of all experience levels.
The gathering offered guided instruction so that even those with no prior dance experience could take part comfortably. Organizers said the informal setting helped both new and seasoned members connect, unwind, and try something new together.
The Connecticut Bar Association promotes community well-being through free legal advice, pro bono representation, educational programs run through its CBA Law Center, and partnerships with the Connecticut Bar Institute for charitable efforts. The organization reaches more than 7,000 members statewide and is guided by its president alongside the Board of Governors and House of Delegates, according to the official website.
As a nonprofit member service entity, the association aims to promote the legal profession while upholding principles of justice throughout Connecticut. These events are part of ongoing efforts to create engaging opportunities for professional development within an inclusive community.
Looking ahead, similar initiatives may continue as part of the association’s commitment to fostering connection among its diverse membership.
